The Journey Begins

I was born in 1971 and I was a free spirit. That all changed when my parents got divorced. My stepmother was an alcoholic and violent. I survived my childhood with support from my siblings, and was reunited with my mom in 1986,. I also met my best friends during this time and they are my best friends still today I got married to a military man in 1992 and moved around a lot. In 1996 I welcomed the sunshine of my life into the world. I found out several years later she was special needs (that is an entirely different journey). I got my degree in psychology in 2010. I got divorced in 2016 after realizing it was a unhealthy relationship. It's been 4 years now and I'm finally trying to embrace that free spirit again. View all posts by Elsie
